I would tell you that to me it’s such a great quote and I have remembered it, every since I was 5 years old and it’s one of the best quotes that has stuck with me, after all of these years.

You still there?….Great well here it goes.
Where I found myself and where did not find myself.
A time when I was running track, which was a long time ago.
I used to run track and would practice each and everyday.
But each time we would face another school, we simply would always seem to win but some of the members on the team starting slacking off and would simply not give it their all.
Which made the rest of their team mates mad at them and they simply said they were sorry and they will try their best next time.
Guess what happened that next time never came, because they never did devote themselves to our team and the coach was tired of saying things to them and then informed the whole team we we loosing against the other schools and that we are almost kicked out of the finals if we didn’t win the next track meet.
Well we had a team discussion and our coach enlightened us to work as a team and to pull together and he so happen to bring this quote out, of a bag of quotes that he would always have with him on index cards.
He told us if he simply gave us the trophy you will go through life living like everything should be handed to you, and then you will never live up to your true expectations of our goals and dreams.
But he told us if we allowed him to teach us how to win and how to work as a team we would be able to achieve our true goals and dreams of winning the finals.
Now we worked very hard and everyone got really into it and then of course old man procrastination set in and then failure, was lurking slowly behind and then of course thinking back on that quote I convinced my team that we were the best and that we had a shot at winning.
Our coach told us if we went out their and we gave it our all, he would take down to his beach house and we would have a big celebration and tons of food and music, not only did that make the team stronger and work more as a team, he took a picture of the trophy we were aiming for and posted where team was.
We were all shocked and ready to win and guess what we won and we simply needed to be taught how to do so and how to work as a team.
